If you really want to know what we believe why not come and visit us. But if you want it set out in black and white, read on:
The Trinity: God, three in one
There is only one God who is infinitely perfect, infinitely great and infinitely good. God exists eternally in three different and distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who share the same divine nature, power and authority.
The Father: God is love
We believe in a good God of perfect love and grace. God is all knowing, ever present, unchanging and completely worthy of our trust and love. We believe in God’s sovereignty in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.
|
Jesus, the Son: fully God, fully man
Jesus is the incarnation of God’s eternal Son-truly divine and truly human, yet without sin. He is God’s only plan for our salvation and defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have life in Him today.
The Spirit: God active in the world today
We believe in the power and the ministry of the Holy Spirit today. He assures us of our relationship with Christ, endows us with spiritual gifts and is our teacher and our guide. He makes us increasingly like Jesus and leads us into all truth.
|
The Bible: God's inspiration
We believe the Bible is God’s word to all people. It was written by human authors under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God is able to speak to us through Bible. The Bible is truth and is completely relevant to our lives today.
Salvation: God's plan for us
We believe that the death of Christ on the cross provides the only way for salvation. Christ paid the price of our sin and evil. He rose from the dead, making a way to eternal life for us. Salvation is a gift and cannot be earned.
|
The Church: God's family
The Church is a community of believers. It is given life by the Spirit so that we can worship God and proclaim the gospel, promote restoration, healing, justice and love. We believe in the Great Commission to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
Eternity: the next chapter
We believe in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The choices we make today will impact on our eternal destiny. Because Jesus was resurrected we believe that those who have faith in him will also be raised to eternal life with God.
